Frequently asked questions

I have forgotten my password or cannot sign in – what do I do?

On the app’s sign-in screen, choose Forgot password? and enter your email address, and we will send a link to reset the password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we have no password – use the same Google or Apple account you used when you created the account instead. If it still does not work, email us and we will help you.

I have bought Premium but it does not show in the app – why?

Open the app, go to Settings and choose Restore purchases – your purchase is then fetched again. Also check that you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account that you used for the purchase. The payment and the receipt are handled entirely by Apple App Store and Google Play respectively; we never receive your card details. If you cannot find your purchase, get in touch and we will look at it together.

How do I change the language in the app?

Go to Settings in the app and choose a language. Citizen Sverige is available in six languages: Swedish, English, Arabic, Somali, Dari and Tigrinya. You can change the language whenever you want – your progress follows you.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account directly in the app via Settings → Account → Delete account, on the web at citizensverige.com/kontoradering, or by emailing hej@citizensverige.com. The deletion removes your account and all associated data permanently within 30 days.

I have questions about the citizenship test itself – can you answer them?

No, unfortunately not. Citizen Sverige is an independent practice tool and is not connected to UHR or any other government authority. Questions about the test dates, registration, rules or results are answered by UHR and other official sources – turn to them for reliable answers.

How do I request my data or ask questions about personal data?

You have the right to know what data we hold about you and to receive a copy of it. Email hej@citizensverige.com and we will help you. Read more about how we process your personal data in our privacy policy. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also turn to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
